Milton Keynes Dons defeated Colchester United 1-0 at Stadium MK on 18 March 2026, continuing their push for promotion. The result in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, means the home team has now gone 14 league matches without a loss.

The only goal of the game arrived in the first half following a scrappy moment in the penalty area. It was officially recorded as an own goal by the Colchester United goalkeeper, Matt Macey, which was enough to give Milton Keynes Dons all three points.

This win keeps the club in second place in the league table as they look to catch the team above them. It also marks a fourth consecutive victory for the side during the final weeks of the 2025-2026 season.

Colchester United remains six points away from the spots needed to qualify for the post-season promotion tournament. With only eight games left to play, the defeat makes it harder for the visiting team to reach the top seven in the division.
