The Parks Trust has announced a programme of free and low-cost community events across Milton Keynes this summer, spanning guided bike rides, dog socialisation walks, and play sessions for children. The charity, which maintains around 6,000 acres of parks, woodlands and lakes in the city, hosts approximately 500 activities each year and is now adding fresh dates to its calendar.

The MK Health Rides are free, staff-led cycling sessions that leave from Campbell Park Pavilion, 1300 Silbury Boulevard, every two weeks at 2pm on Thursdays. Each ride covers roughly 8km in an hour at a gentle pace, winding through Campbell Park, the Canal Broadwalk, Ouzel Valley and Willen Lake. Dog owners can join a Woof Walk at Waterhall Park on Saturday 25 July 2026 at 10am, meeting at the Waterhall car park on Mill Road in Water Eaton. Tickets cost £1 per dog and must be booked in advance.

The Trust is also running Parkland Play sessions through its Community Rangers. A Waterhall Park session is booked for Wednesday 12 August 2026 from midday to 3pm, offering face painting, crafts, animal encounters, storytelling and water safety games. These activities form part of a wider events programme that has already attracted more than 113,000 attendees in the past year. The MK Health Rides build on two decades of the charity’s Health Walks, which have supported over 9,000 people to stay active since their launch.

Further details and booking for all events are available through the charity’s website. The Trust manages more than 40 parks across Milton Keynes, and the summer schedule continues to grow, with additional Woof Walk dates planned at Howe Park Wood and Campbell Park later in the year.
