The Milton Keynes & North Bucks CAMRA branch is presenting its annual Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year awards in Emberton, Buckinghamshire, on Thursday, 19 March 2026. The ceremony is taking place at The Bell and Bear to celebrate local businesses that serve high-quality drinks to their residents.
These awards recognise local establishments for their commitment to providing top-quality cask ale and cider throughout the year. The winners are chosen based on quality scores submitted by local members of the Campaign for Real Ale who visit various pubs in the community.
Members use an online portal called the CAMRA Experience to rate the drinks they consume while visiting local venues. These ratings directly decide which businesses receive awards and which ones are included in the national Good Beer Guide.
The ceremony is being held at The Bell and Bear, a venue in Emberton that has a history of being protected by local residents to ensure it remains open. Jo Sidebottom, the chair of the local branch, and vice-chair Laura Pinborough lead the group in highlighting these top venues for people to visit.
