Residents in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, are invited to join a guided bat walk at Walton Lake on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. Organised by The Parks Trust, the evening event gives people a chance to see local wildlife in their natural habitat and learn about nature conservation efforts in the area.

The walk will run from 19:30 to 20:45 and starts at the bridge next to St Michael’s Church. This location is on the Open University campus, which serves as the host and meeting point for the event.

According to The Parks Trust, Walton Lake is one of the most notable places in the city to observe local bat populations. Conservation experts will lead the group around the water to explain more about the different species that live in the regional parks and lakes.

The Parks Trust is an independent charity that has cared for over 6,000 acres of green space across the city since it was founded in 1992. The group hosts hundreds of community events every year to help residents enjoy and understand the local environment.
