Families in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, can now sign up for the Superhero Fun Run taking place on May 4, 2026. The event starts at 9:30 AM at Stadium MK and serves as a major highlight of the local marathon weekend.

This year’s race features a special Star Wars theme because the date falls on the May 4 holiday. All participants who complete the one-mile course will receive a themed medal featuring the character Yoda at the Stadium MK finish line.

The event is limited to 800 people and is open to runners and walkers of all ages and physical abilities. Organisers from the Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend say that wearing superhero fancy dress is an essential part of the fun.

Sponsored by Brioche Pasquier, the run also helps raise money for Willen Hospice. The charity provides end-of-life care for residents, and families are encouraged to use the race as a way to support their work.

To book one of the 800 available spots, residents can visit the official registration page. This 2026 edition is particularly special as it marks 15 years since the marathon event was first held in the city.
