The Stony Stratford Town Council has confirmed the monthly farmers market will return to the Market Square in Stony Stratford throughout 2026. The market is held on the last Friday of every month, with the next event set for February 27, 2026, offering residents access to fresh local food and handmade items.

Shoppers can visit the stalls between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm to find a variety of goods including organic vegetables, fresh bread, and eco-friendly household refills. Stony Stratford Town Council says the market helps support small businesses and keeps the local high street busy; local news outlet MKFM reported on the market’s return in 2020.

Drivers are asked to vacate the Market Square parking spaces by 7:00 am on the morning of the market to allow space for the stalls. The council’s notice (also reproduced on Visit Stony) states this includes the two electric vehicle charging bays in the square, which should be moved by 7:00 am.

The square has a long history as a place for trade: historic records note that Stony Stratford was granted a market charter in 1194 and that its market tradition dates back to the 12th century. Visitors travelling from further away can find more details about the area through Visit South East England.
