The North Northamptonshire Council is inviting expectant mothers, new mums, and parents with children under five to share their experiences regarding physical activity during and after pregnancy. Feedback collected through the initiative will help the council design future support services and programmes tailored to the needs of local families.

The council is running the project in partnership with Northamptonshire Sport. The information gathered will be used to improve physical activity facilities and local opportunities for those looking to stay active after giving birth.

Councillor Brian Benneyworth, the council’s Executive Member for Housing, Health and Leisure, stated that the goal is to create services that are supportive and inclusive. He encouraged local women to share what works for them so that future activities can be better adapted to their specific needs.

Residents can participate in the project by completing an online survey on the council’s consultation platform. The survey remains open until 23:59 on 28 April 2026.
