Northamptonshire Police are searching for witnesses after a woman was assaulted and had her bag stolen on White Hills Crescent in Northampton, Northamptonshire. The incident took place between 4:00 PM and 4:50 PM on Sunday, 22 February 2026.

The situation began when two women were seen walking together from White Hills Way towards White Hills Crescent. As one of the women tried to get on a bus, the other woman grabbed her and threw her mobile phone into the road, damaging it. The victim then fell to the ground, where the attacker got on top of her.

People passing by intervened to stop the attack, at which point the offender grabbed the victim’s bag and ran away from the area on foot. Officers are now looking for a white woman with an average build and blonde hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a blue Under Armour quarter-zip top and possibly pink pyjama bottoms.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to come forward. They are especially interested in speaking to people with doorbell cameras or dash-cam footage that might have captured the women’s movements. Anyone with information should contact the police and mention incident number 26000106812.
