Bus operator Stagecoach has announced changes to its services across Northampton, Northamptonshire, ahead of the Easter bank holiday weekend in April 2026. The modifications affect several key routes throughout the town and surrounding areas during the holiday period.
Passengers who use the bus network for work, shopping, or visiting relatives are being told to check updated timetables before they travel. The Easter bank holidays fall on Good Friday, 3 April 2026, and Easter Monday, 6 April 2026.
These service updates come as major road improvements at the Queen Eleanor Interchange reach their final stages. West Northamptonshire Council and its partner Kier Transportation started the project in March 2025 and expect to finish the work this spring.
Ongoing roadworks have resulted in the suspension of bus stops on the A45 slip road, London Road, and Newport Pagnell Road. Routes currently affected by these changes include services 11, 11A, X6, 88, and 82.
The project is part of a wider plan by National Highways to improve seven junctions in the area. Residents should also be aware that the 41 service between Bedford and Northampton was transferred to Grant Palmer earlier this month on 2 March 2026.
