Residents in Northampton can look forward to a mix of conditions this week, with weather becoming more unsettled as the weekend approaches. According to the Met Office, temperatures will fluctuate, with a warm spell expected mid-week.

The week begins with sunny intervals on Monday, 27 April, reaching a high of 20°C, though there is a 50 per cent chance of light showers in the evening. Tuesday, 28 April, is forecast to be the coolest day of the week, remaining overcast with a maximum temperature of 15°C and wind gusts reaching 33mph.

From Wednesday, 29 April, through to Friday, 1 May, the town will see largely sunny skies with temperatures rising to 21°C. While this period will be mostly dry, residents should be aware that wind gusts could reach up to 37mph on Wednesday.

Hay fever sufferers should take note of changing pollen levels throughout the week. Pollen levels are high on Monday, drop to low levels on Tuesday, move to moderate on Wednesday, and return to high levels on both Thursday and Friday.

Looking further ahead, the weather is set to become more changeable from Friday onwards. The Met Office anticipates an increasing chance of showers and potential strong winds as low-pressure systems move into the region.
