Boy Arrested After 2026 Thorpe St Andrew School Stabbing

Officers from the Norfolk Constabulary arrested a teenage boy on 11 March 2026 after a girl was stabbed at Thorpe St Andrew School on Laundry Lane in Thorpe St Andrew, Norfolk. Police were called to the scene at 10:24 am following reports of the attack, which left a teenage girl injured.

The school was placed into an immediate lockdown to keep everyone on the site safe while emergency services responded. Staff and students remained inside the building while officers searched the area for the person involved.

The teenage boy was caught after he reportedly fled the school site by jumping over a fence at the south site entrance on Laundry Lane. He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and remains in police custody for questioning.

According to police, officers have increased patrols in the local community to provide reassurance to residents and families following the incident. Investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances of the event to understand exactly what happened.
