Norfolk Constabulary has shared a tribute from the family of 42-year-old Brian Rodgers, who died after an industrial incident in Sprowston, Norfolk. Mr Rodgers was working as an agency operative when the incident took place on February 17, 2026.

Emergency services were called to the Furlong Heath housing development on Salhouse Road at 11:10 AM. Mr Rodgers was declared dead at the scene by attending crews.

A joint investigation has been launched by the police and the Health and Safety Executive to determine exactly what happened. Officials are currently looking into whether a roof truss, which is a wooden frame used to support a roof, was a factor in the accident.

The site developer, Tilia Homes, confirmed that the worker was hired through an agency and temporarily closed the site after the tragedy. The company said it is cooperating with all enquiries and offered its sympathies to the family.
