Norfolk Constabulary reported a total of 308 crimes in the Norwich North area of Norfolk during January 2026. These figures, published on 28 February 2026, provide a snapshot of illegal activity across the neighbourhoods of Sewell, Catton, Mile Cross, and Crome.
The most frequent category of crime recorded on the Norwich North crime map was violence and sexual offences, which accounted for 140 reported incidents. Officers also handled 38 reports of anti-social behaviour and 31 cases of shoplifting during the same period.
In response to these figures, police are continuing to use Operation Focus to put more patrols into areas known for trouble. This initiative aims to increase police visibility in hotspots where serious violence and nuisance behaviour are most common.
The focus on retail crime follows a 13 per cent increase in shoplifting across the county during 2025. On 24 February 2026, police confirmed a man had been charged in connection with several business burglaries and shop thefts that took place across the city.
