Norwich, Norfolk, will host a 10-day festival starting 19 June 2026 to celebrate local drinks and support the city’s bars and restaurants. The Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) is organising the event to bring more people into the city centre to visit independent shops and tasting venues.

The festival, known as Norwich Wine Week, will run from 19 to 28 June 2026 and features city‑wide tasting events where residents can visit different businesses to try local products. People can use a ‘Taste of the City’ passport to visit various spots in the Norwich Lanes and the Cathedral Quarter — a scheme designed to help smaller venues reach new customers who might not usually visit them. (Whether a digital passport or app will be used should be confirmed with organisers.)

Organisers hope the event will help the local hospitality industry manage rising operating costs by encouraging more people to spend time and money in the city. Local makers from across the region, including members of the East Anglian Vineyards Association, will have the chance to showcase their drinks to the community during the week.

A main festival hub is expected to be set up in Chapelfield Gardens for the festival weekend (the event’s showcase is scheduled for 26–28 June). According to Visit Norwich and the event organisers, this part of the festival will allow visitors to meet people from nearby vineyards and learn more about how local drinks are made.

For the latest details (venues, tickets and any passport/app functionality), confirm with Norwich BID or the Norwich Wine Week website before publication.
