The Old Fire Station in Oxford, Oxfordshire, will host a community dance showcase on March 8, 2026, to celebrate local talent and promote healthy living. This 90-minute event, featuring performers of all ages, provides an affordable way for families to enjoy the arts while supporting local dance groups.

The show is a major part of the Dancin’ Oxford Spring Dance Festival, which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. This year’s festival runs from February 27 to March 18, 2026, and is supported by the Oxford City Council.

This showcase is also connected to a national health project called Let’s Dance!, which was founded by broadcaster Angela Rippon CBE. The initiative aims to help people improve their wellbeing through the physical activity of dancing.

To make sure everyone can attend, the venue is holding two performance times at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Tickets are available on a sliding scale where residents can choose to pay £8, £10, or £12 based on what they can afford.

The Old Fire Station shares its central building with Crisis, a charity that helps people who are experiencing homelessness. This partnership allows the arts centre to provide training and volunteering opportunities for the community alongside its regular public performances.
