Residents in Oxford, Oxfordshire, are being advised to wrap up warm as temperatures are set to drop on Friday 13 March 2026. According to the Met Office, the morning will bring a biting chill that could make travel and school runs more difficult for local families.

Early morning conditions will feel as cold as 0°C, creating a sharp start to the day. While the air will remain breezy throughout the day, the actual daytime temperature is expected to reach a maximum of 9°C.

The weather for the rest of the day will feature a mix of sunny intervals and clouds. There is a 60 per cent chance of light rain showers at around 11:00 am, meaning conditions could change quickly for those spending time outdoors.

This cold snap follows a particularly windy Thursday, which saw gusts of up to 46mph, and signals a shift to more unsettled weather for the city. People heading out for the early commute are encouraged to take extra care and dress appropriately for the drop in temperature.
