Thames Valley Police has released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with after a woman was racially abused while litter picking in Blackbird Leys, Oxfordshire. The incident took place at approximately 12:30 PM on 17 January 2026 along Windale Avenue.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was volunteering with a local group to clean up the neighbourhood when a man walking past shouted racial slurs at her. Officers have now shared an image of a man they believe may have important information about the case.
PC Jordan Welch is leading the investigation and is asking anyone who recognises the man to get in touch. Residents are also being asked to check their own home CCTV, doorbell cameras, or car dashcams for any footage from that afternoon.
Identifying the individual is a priority for officers who want to support the local community and discourage this type of behaviour. If you have any information, you can call the police on 101 or use their website to make a report by quoting the reference number 43260033822.
