The Oxford Hospitals Charity is inviting people in Oxford and Oxfordshire to sign up for a five-mile fundraising run or walk on Sunday 22 March 2026. The annual OX5 RUN will take place at Blenheim Palace and raises money in support of the Oxford Children’s Hospital.
Money raised by the event helps buy specialist medical equipment, monitoring systems, play and sensory resources and fund ward improvements for young patients at the John Radcliffe Hospital site. The charity asks each participant to aim to raise £250 to support these ‘extras’ beyond routine NHS provision.
The event is supported by local recruitment agency Allen Associates, the long-term headline sponsor of the OX5 RUN. The agency’s ongoing sponsorship helps meet event costs so more of the money raised by participants can go directly to benefit children cared for across the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Since the early 2000s the OX5 RUN has raised more than £1 million for local healthcare services. Residents can sign up to jog, walk or run the scenic five-mile route through the grounds of Blenheim Palace (the route is tarmacked and accessible) to help reach this year’s fundraising goals for the children’s wards.
