Oxford United Football Club has announced a significant reshuffle of its leadership team following the club’s relegation to League One. The changes, confirmed by the club on 6 May 2026, include the appointment of a new chairman and a new director as the organisation prepares for life in the third tier of English football.

Dusan Bogdanovic has been named as the new chairman of Oxford United, succeeding Grant Ferguson who held the position for four years. Mr Bogdanovic is a Serbian-born sports executive and football agent based in Indonesia. While Mr Ferguson is stepping down from the chairmanship, he will remain a member of the club’s Board of Directors.

Also joining the board is Rudi Laksmana, a former board member at Italian club Inter Milan. These appointments come shortly after the club’s relegation was confirmed on 25 April 2026, following a 22nd-place finish in the Championship. The team had earned promotion to the second tier in the 2023-24 season after a 25-year absence but returned to League One after two seasons.

The club’s ownership is led by Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, who has held a controlling stake in the team since 2022 and increased his investment in November 2025. Following the recent updates, the board now consists of Anindya Bakrie, Grant Ferguson, Rudi Laksmana, Dusan Bogdanovic, and Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth.
