Thames Valley Police are appealing for the public’s help after a man was assaulted at the Greggs shop in Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley, Oxford. The incident occurred at about 1:30pm on Sunday, 25 January 2026, during a busy lunchtime period when many people were out shopping.

Officers say they want to speak with anyone who was in the Cowley area and may have seen what happened. Police have asked specifically for shoppers, local workers, or passers-by who may have mobile phone footage, dash-cam video from nearby car parks, or eyewitness accounts to come forward.

No arrests have been made as of 11 February 2026, and the force is asking the wanted man (suspect) to come forward and speak with officers. If you have any information that could help the investigation, you can call 101 or report the information via the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference number 43260039975.

Local data and reporting show Templars Square has been a focal point for policing activity in recent years; Thames Valley Police have previously increased patrols in the Cowley area and used tactics such as Project Servator to address crime and anti-social behaviour.
