Peterborough Cathedral in Cambridgeshire will host a family-friendly performance of The Jungle Book on April 10, 2026. The 60-minute musical adaptation is designed for children and parents looking for entertainment during the Easter school holidays.

The show is produced by Gary Starr Productions and features a cast of five professional actors. Families can expect to see famous characters such as Mowgli, Baloo, and Shere Khan performing inside the historic building’s main area, known as the Nave.

According to the event listing on AllEvents, doors open at 11:30 AM for a 12:00 PM start. The production uses a portable set that is designed to work within heritage spaces without damaging the medieval floors.

The Very Revd Chris Dalliston, the Dean of Peterborough, said the event helps the site serve as a gathering place for the whole community. Money raised from the performance will support the building’s maintenance and the ongoing fundraising efforts to pay for urgent repairs.
