Families in Peterborough will have a new summer activity to explore this year as Peterborough Cathedral prepares to host the Travelling Bricks exhibition. The event will run from 18 July to 29 August 2026, offering visitors a chance to view 120 models crafted from more than one million building bricks.
The exhibition is organised into four immersive zones covering Air, Land, Sea, and Space. Highlights of the display include a 7.2-metre-long model of the Titanic and a 3-metre-tall rocket. These pieces were created by professional artists and are produced by World Touring Exhibitions.
Beyond the main displays, the event offers a hands-on experience for visitors. A large building area will feature over 200,000 bricks for public use, and a dedicated soft play area will be available for younger children.
Entry tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £6 for children and students, with all proceeds going toward the upkeep and charitable activities of the Cathedral. The event follows the recent success of the Cathedral’s Titanosaur exhibition, which drew over 8,000 visitors in its first two weeks.
Jack Pishhorn, Chief Operating Officer at the Cathedral, stated that the new exhibition builds upon this positive momentum and aims to continue supporting the local visitor economy.
