The New Theatre Peterborough is inviting local residents to attend an informal volunteer information session on Thursday 21 May 2026. Held at 4:30pm, the event provides an opportunity for potential recruits to meet the team, learn about available roles, and ask questions before applying to join the programme.

The theatre, which is part of Landmark Theatres, is looking to expand its team of helpers to assist with front of house operations during performances. No previous experience is required for the positions, though applicants must be aged 16 or over and possess good people skills. The organisation asks for a minimum commitment of two shifts per month. In return, volunteers receive benefits including training, support, and complimentary tickets to selected performances.

Refreshments will be provided at the session, which takes place just one day before the Key Theatre is set to reopen its doors following a major repair project. Those who are unable to make it to this gathering can attend future information sessions that the theatre holds every few months.

For those interested in finding out more about these volunteer opportunities, enquiries can be directed to the Talent and Participation Manager, George Barnett, at [email protected].
