Lee Holliday, 43, was sentenced to two years and five months in prison on February 12, 2026, after he attacked a woman outside a doctors surgery in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The incident took place outside the Westwood Centre at approximately 1:30 PM on July 31.

Holliday jumped into the back of the woman’s car as she was leaving the surgery and shouted for her to drive because he claimed he was being chased. When she refused, he grabbed her by the neck and tried to pull her out of the driver’s seat, which resulted in her clothing and necklace being torn during the struggle.

The victim’s daughter assisted in getting Holliday away from the vehicle until officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary arrived at the scene. DC Matt Reed, who investigated the case, stated that the woman was targeted at random in what he described as a frightening ordeal.

Holliday, a resident of Welland Road in Dogsthorpe, was found guilty of common assault. The sentence handed down at Cambridge Crown Court included the activation of a previous two-year suspended sentence for drug dealing.
