Peterborough City Council has confirmed the collection fees and dates for the 2025/26 garden waste service for households in Cambridgeshire. Sign-ups are currently open for the service, which is scheduled to run from April 28, 2025, to April 20, 2026.

A single brown garden bin will cost £58 for the year, and the price for two bins is £89.50. According to Peterborough City Council, these charges help manage the costs of fuel and labour while continuing to collect organic garden waste.

Most residents will have their brown bins collected during the same week as their black general waste bins. However, the council noted that people in Eye, Thorney, Millfield North, Dogsthorpe South, and Werrington East will have their collections take place one day earlier than their black bin day.

All bins must be placed on the kerbside by 6:45 am on the scheduled day to avoid being missed by the crews. The daily collections are managed by Aragon Direct Services, which is the local company responsible for environmental work in the city.
