Peterborough Foodbank has moved its Saturday distribution session to St Luke’s Church on Mayors Walk. The relocation took effect on 4 July 2026, shifting the weekend service for residents needing emergency food supplies to the PE3 6EZ parish church, the Peterborough Foodbank website confirmed.
The Saturday session at St Luke’s runs from 11:00 to 12:30, a slightly shorter window than the standard two‑hour slots at other centres. The move affects anyone who previously relied on the earlier Saturday location, with the foodbank urging them to note the new venue.
Four other distribution centres continue to operate across the city on weekdays. These are Holy Spirit Church in Bretton, the Salvation Army on Bourges Boulevard, and KingsGate Community Church in Staplee Way, all open from 11am to 1pm, plus an evening session at Christ the Servant King in Hampton. St Luke’s itself has stood on Mayors Walk since 1901, originally founded as a Mission Room for the growing residential area west of the railway.
Anyone wishing to donate food can still drop off items at the foodbank warehouse at Dodson House, Dodson Way, Fengate, PE1 5XG. The warehouse accepts donations Monday to Friday between 10am and 1pm.
Peterborough Foodbank operates as part of the Trussell Trust’s national network, which supports food banks providing emergency food and assistance to people facing hardship.
