The 2026 season of Poole Dream Machines will begin on April 7, 2026, bringing hundreds of motorcycles to the waterfront in Poole, Dorset. This weekly gathering will take place every Tuesday evening through to the end of September, with the quay closing to regular car traffic from 6:00 PM to make space for the display.

According to Visit Dorset, the event is a family-friendly evening where spectators can view rare and restored bikes for free. Motorcyclists pay a small entry fee to park on the quay and enter the weekly competition, with prices historically ranging between £1.50 and £3.

Each event features a “Bike of the Night” contest where a local judge picks a standout motorcycle to win a prize. According to Bike Nights on Poole Quay, these awards are chosen by different representatives from local businesses or sponsors each week to help support the local economy.

Visitors using local car parks should note that BCP Council is introducing higher parking charges across the region starting March 16, 2026. These new rates will be in place before the motorcycle season begins and may change the usual cost for those attending by car.

The event also involves the temporary removal of 13 disabled parking spaces on the quay to accommodate the motorcycles. This practice has recently been discussed by local groups who are concerned about how easy it is for everyone to access the area during the busy Tuesday sessions.
