Police are searching for a cyclist who left the scene of a serious collision in Poole on Tuesday afternoon. Two bicycles collided in Grebe Close at around 4.50pm on 2 June 2026, near the footpath that joins with Martin Close. One rider, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.
The second rider, who was on what officers describe as a suspected electric bike, did not stop. He is described as white, possibly in his early 20s, with light brown medium-length hair and a beard. Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened or has information about the rider of the bike that left the scene to please get in touch.”
Sergeant Burt also highlighted the value of home security footage, adding: “I am also keen to hear from residents in the vicinity who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or doorbell camera footage, including anything that shows the rider of a bike matching the description given.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260081781.
