Rossmore Library in Poole, Dorset, is hosting weekly drop-in sessions every Wednesday to help residents use digital technology and the internet. These sessions run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and provide direct support for people who find online tasks difficult.

Volunteers known as Tech Buddies are available at Rossmore Library to help with smartphones, tablets, and computers. Visitors do not need to book an appointment in advance to get help with specific tasks like filling out online government forms or applying for jobs.

The BCP Council initiative aims to make digital tools more accessible for the local community. The library, which is located on the Rossmore Community Campus on Herbert Avenue, is also testing a new system that allows residents to use the facilities outside of standard opening hours.

This service is part of a wider effort to provide multiple types of support in one location for residents in the Alderney and Bourne Valley area. In addition to the technology help, the library operates a community fridge from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
