Small business owners across Portsmouth, Hampshire, can access free workshops and networking sessions during the annual Portsmouth and South Coast Business Week starting on February 23, 2026. The five-day event offers practical advice on how to attract investment and learn new skills without having to travel to larger cities.

The week is a joint effort between the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Portsmouth City Council, and the borough councils of Fareham, Havant, and Gosport. Local firms can attend sessions on modern technology like artificial intelligence and cyber security, as well as workshops on how to write successful business bids.

An official launch will take place on February 23, 2026, at the Queen’s Hotel in Southsea to share updates on the city’s 100-year anniversary and the 2029 UK City of Culture bid led by Portsmouth Creates. For the first time, the programme will also include a special networking breakfast on the Isle of Wight to help more businesses across the region connect.

Other major events include a business expo in Fareham on February 26, 2026, and the annual Portsmouth Business Awards on February 27, 2026. Local education providers like the University of Portsmouth and regional colleges are supporting the week by hosting training on green growth and financial management.
