Mark Raymond Fogg, 37, has been charged following an incident involving an imitation firearm at Wilmcote House in Somerstown, Southsea. The charges follow reports that a weapon was fired twice from a window at the residential tower block at approximately 5:29 PM on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

According to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Fogg, of Tyseley Road, is charged with firing an air weapon beyond premises and possession of Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) with the intent to supply them. He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday, 2 March 2026.

Armed police officers seized an imitation firearm at the scene and arrested three people during the investigation. A 38-year-old woman has been released under investigation, and a 15-year-old boy has been released on bail until 28 May 2026.

As emergency units rushed to the tower block, an Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Goldsmith Avenue at approximately 5:45 PM. A police cordon was put in place around the flats following the initial reports to help keep the public safe.
