The annual Comic Con event will return to Port Solent on Saturday 6 June 2026, offering residents a free day of pop culture and entertainment by the marina. The event will take place at The Boardwalk from 10am until 5pm.

The family-friendly celebration, which has been a staple in the area since 2017, invites fans of all ages to enjoy activities, meet fellow enthusiasts, and participate in cosplay. The event is co-organised by the venue’s management team and GoGeek Events, formerly known as Nerdageddon Events. Attendees can also take advantage of free parking provided at the site, which is managed by Premier Marinas.

In previous years, the gathering has featured a variety of immersive experiences, including a Jurassic Park zone, Jedi workshops, and appearances by the Portsmouth Ghostbusters with their Ecto-1 car. Last year’s event was a major success, welcoming more than 15,000 visitors to the waterfront destination.

The event has a strong history of community engagement, having drawn 21,000 visitors during its inaugural year and receiving a national Purple Apple Marketing Award for its impact. Lisa Fowler, the events manager at Port Solent, has overseen the organisation of the Comic Con since its beginning, focusing on creating an accessible experience for the local community.
