Portsmouth Pride will return to Southsea Common in Portsmouth, Hampshire, on 6 June 2026 as part of the city’s Portsmouth100 centenary celebrations. The free community event will feature a large parade along the seafront followed by a full day of live entertainment and activities for residents and visitors.
The festival organisers have teamed up with Foster Portsmouth — the city council’s fostering team — to help find new foster families for local children in care. Staff from Portsmouth City Council (including the Foster Portsmouth team) will be available at the event to talk to people from all backgrounds about how they can support young people in the community.
The parade is expected to start around 11:30am and will travel along the esplanade toward the main festival site. According to Visit Hampshire, the main event is one of the biggest completely free and unfenced Pride events in the country and does not require tickets for general admission; however, some paid VIP experiences may be offered by third parties.
This year’s celebration is especially important: Visit Portsmouth has included Portsmouth Pride in the official Portsmouth100 calendar marking 100 years since the city was granted city status. Following the success of hosting the national UK Pride event in 2025, organisers project the festival could exceed 20,000 attendees on the seafront, weather permitting.
