On Monday 16 March 2026, residents in Portsmouth, Hampshire, will experience cloudier and breezier conditions as weather patterns change across the South East. While rain is expected in northern parts of the region, the south coast is likely to remain mostly dry throughout the day.

The Met Office has forecast that cloud cover will thicken from midday. Light outbreaks of rain may occur in northern areas during the afternoon, but the city is expected to escape the worst of the wet weather.

Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 12°C. Despite a bright start for many, the atmosphere will become increasingly breezy as the weather system moves through.

The Environment Agency currently has flood warnings in place across the wider region. However, the impact in Portsmouth is expected to be limited to heavier clouds and windier conditions rather than significant rainfall.
