The University of Portsmouth is holding an undergraduate Open Experience Day on Saturday, February 28, 2026, to help prospective students in Portsmouth, Hampshire, explore their future education options. The event runs from 8.30am to 4.00pm and allows visitors to tour the campus and speak directly with staff about various courses.
Those who have already applied or received study offers can join smaller groups to take part in activities related to their subjects and meet future classmates. To make the trip more affordable, the university is offering a 50% discount on ferry travel through Wightlink and up to 35% off rail tickets with South Western Railway.
The University of Portsmouth is currently carrying out a £250 million plan to improve its campus buildings. This project includes a new student hub on Cambridge Road that is expected to be finished by summer 2026.
Teachers will also explain the university’s “Connected Degrees” programme, which gives students the choice to take a paid work placement year as part of their studies. This structure allows for a three-year degree with an optional fourth year for professional experience.
