Rochford District Council is hosting a free networking event for local business owners this Wednesday in Rayleigh, Essex. The Pitch and Connect session will take place on 25 March 2026 at The Rayleigh Club, where entrepreneurs can meet and share ideas to help grow the local economy.

The event runs from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the golf and wedding resort on Hullbridge Road. This session is part of the Innovate and Elevate Rochford District Business Growth Programme, which is delivered alongside the Let’s Do Business Group. Business owners can use the time to pitch new ideas, find partners for future projects, and get advice on how to expand their companies.

This initiative is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which has provided £327,146 for the 2025-2026 period to support local high streets and businesses. The wider growth programme offers more than £2,000 worth of professional training and support to small and medium-sized firms at no cost to the owners.

The networking afternoon follows the recent 2026 Rochford District Business Awards, which were held on 12 March to celebrate local success stories. The Rayleigh Club itself was a finalist in the awards for its work in employee experience. By hosting these regular meetings, the council aims to build on the momentum of the awards and help more of the 3,000 members of its Tell Me More business network connect with one another.
