Residents in Rayleigh, Essex, should prepare for a change in the weather as the current warm spell is set to end on Monday, 23 March 2026. According to the Met Office, the town will see a shift from sunny skies to cloudier conditions and stronger winds.

The recent pleasant conditions will gradually fade as the new week begins. While daytime temperatures reached 15°C on Thursday, 19 March 2026, they are expected to drop to around 12°C by Wednesday, 25 March 2026.

Along with the cooler air, wind speeds are forecast to pick up significantly across the region. After a period of light breezes, wind gusts in the local area could reach up to 30mph by Wednesday.

This change marks a move away from the mild weather seen recently towards more unsettled conditions. The sunny intervals will be replaced by more persistent cloud cover as the town moves towards the end of the month.
