The Friends of Caversham Court Gardens will host a community Easter trail in Reading, Berkshire, on Saturday, 4 April 2026. This family-friendly event gives residents a chance to explore the historic riverside gardens while helping to support local park volunteers.

Families can visit the gardens between 14:00 and 16:00 to take part in a nature quiz focused on the park’s trees and wildlife. Organisers say children who complete the trail typically receive an Easter egg or a non-dairy alternative treat.

The Friends of Caversham Court Gardens organise the event to bring neighbours together and encourage people to use the public green space. The gardens were first opened to the public at Easter 1934 and are registered as a Grade II site on the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

The tea kiosk, which is staffed by volunteers from several local charities, is expected to be open during the afternoon. While the event is free to attend, the Friends welcome donations to help pay for prizes and the ongoing upkeep of the gardens.
