Four people have been sentenced for selling crack cocaine and heroin in Reading, Berkshire, following two separate investigations. Thames Valley Police announced the details on 9 March 2026 as part of a crackdown on illegal drug sales in the town.
Tajal Campbell, aged 22, and Joshua Oliver, aged 28, were arrested after officers searched a flat on Caroline Street on 2 September 2025. During the search, police found drugs, £515 in cash, and equipment used to sell illegal substances. Campbell, of Westwood Road, was jailed for four years, while Oliver, of no fixed address, received a 20-month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months. Both had admitted to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
In a separate case announced the same day, 48-year-old Claire Caesar and 26-year-old Antonio Ferdinand were jailed for similar offences. Caesar was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison, while Ferdinand was jailed for three years and seven months, after they were caught with wraps of heroin and crack cocaine during police stops in Wokingham and Reading.
PC Ross Hutcheson of the Reading proactive team said that the drug trade has a “devastating impact on our communities.” He confirmed that the police will continue to target those involved in selling drugs to keep the community safe.
