Parents of teenagers in Reading looking for ways to improve communication with their children can attend a free drop-in workshop next month. Grounds for Conversation takes place on Thursday 11 June 2026 from 9.30am to 11am at The Collective, 25 Church Road, Caversham, RG4 7AA.

Hosted by Reading Voluntary Action, the morning is designed as a casual coffee setting where parents can share experiences, discuss everyday challenges, and pick up practical approaches to more impactful communication. The event page describes it as a chance to sip good coffee, share what is really going on, and shift something—even just slightly. It is part of RVA’s families and parenting programme and is listed under the same theme.

Anyone wanting to attend must book a free place in advance through Eventbrite. Reading Voluntary Action supports more than 1,060 local community groups and charities across the town, and its work includes connecting communities and improving the lives of young people and families.
