Wellington Country Park in Reading has announced a busy programme of summer events for 2026, headlined by a return of the popular dinosaur-themed activities and a bank holiday weekend featuring large-scale inflatables.
The park, established in 1974 by the Eighth Duke and Duchess of Wellington, will host its Dino Takeover from 1st to 3rd August 2026. This event will feature life-sized dinosaurs, including a T-Rex and a Triceratops. Throughout the weekend, families can participate in shows on the Main Green from 10am to 3pm, join a Dino Dig to experience life as a paleontologist, and attend Ranger Training sessions at the Animal Farm. Tickets for the dinosaur event are set to be released on 16th June 2026.
Beyond the special events, the 350-acre park located off the A33 offers an immersive zone with over 30 permanent dinosaur figures, which includes the Lost World Sound Experience. For those looking to extend their visit, the site operates a campsite with 87 pitches suitable for touring, glamping, and tent camping, with park entry included in the fees.
The summer season will conclude with an inflatables event held over the bank holiday weekend from 23rd to 25th August. Visitors can expect a variety of attractions, including a 60-foot obstacle course, basketball and soccer challenges, and several bouncy castles designed for different age groups.
