Cllr Stephen King, the Chair of Three Rivers District Council, is hosting an 18-hole charity golf day at Rickmansworth Golf Course in Hertfordshire on Saturday, 14 March 2026. The event is being held to raise money for The Ehlers-Danlos Society and the Oxhey Jets Football Club.

The tournament will feature a shotgun start at 8:00 on the day. Entry to the event costs £60 per person, which includes the full 18-hole round of golf as well as a breakfast roll and a lunch for all participants.

Cllr King chose these specific charities because of their impact on the local community and his own family. He noted that members of his family live with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, and he believes the football club, which was founded in 1972, has been beneficial for local young people in South Oxhey.

The fundraiser is part of the Chair’s annual appeal, which includes several events throughout the civic year. Following the golf day, a charity quiz night is also being held at the Penn Chamber in Rickmansworth on 17 April 2026.
