On Thursday 19 February 2026 residents in Dickinsons ward of Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, will vote for a new local representative to fill a vacancy on Croxley Green Parish Council. Three Rivers District Council, acting as the returning officer, published the Notice of Election on 6 February 2026 and will run the poll.
Croxley Green Parish Council is the most local tier of government and is responsible for services affecting the immediate neighbourhood. This by‑election is expected to focus on community priorities such as protecting green spaces and local issues including traffic and street safety near the Rickmansworth boundary.
Since 2022 the Dickinsons ward has shifted from Liberal Democrat support to electing Green Party representatives: Chris Mitchell won a seat in May 2022 and Narinder Sian won in May 2023. Local candidates commonly campaign on preserving village character, protecting the Green Belt and pushing for higher environmental standards in new developments.
To take part in the vote residents must be registered and live within the ward boundaries. The official deadline to register for this poll is midnight on Tuesday 3 February 2026, and polling stations will be open from 7:00am to 10:00pm on Thursday 19 February. Anyone interested in standing as a candidate, or checking registration and nomination details, should consult Three Rivers District Council’s election notices.
