Rickmansworth Cricket Club is offering local youngsters an opportunity to get active this half-term by hosting a cricket camp on Tuesday 26 May 2026. The session, which runs from 10am to 4pm at the club’s grounds on Park Road in Rickmansworth, is open to children in Year 5 and above.

The event is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to support its youth section, which has grown significantly since its establishment in 2004. Originally started with just 12 boys, the youth programme now accommodates over 120 boys and girls. Matt Iveson, the club’s Press, Media and Communications Officer, announced the camp to provide families with an engaging sporting activity during the break.

The club has recently modernised its facilities to better serve its members, including its six adult teams and the expanding youth section. With a grant of £167,200 provided by Three Rivers District Council, the organisation has been able to improve drainage on its grounds, update its changing rooms, and purchase new cricket nets.

Founded in 1787, the club remains one of the oldest in England and continues to play a significant role in the local sporting community. As of the 2026 season, the club’s 1st XI competes in Division 3A of the Saracens Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League.
