The Rickmansworth Foodbank has reached a milestone: as of January 2026 the service run by the Mill End Community Trust has given emergency three‑day food supplies to more than 1,000 people in Rickmansworth and the surrounding Three Rivers district. The figure, reported by the Mill End Community Trust and shown on the foodbank’s site, underlines continuing local demand as many households struggle with the cost of living.
Run by the Mill End Community Trust, the foodbank provides three‑day emergency parcels and, since 2020, has supplemented dry goods by purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables. The service is supported by local churches and is part of the Trussell Trust network.
Residents can get help at the main site at The Mill (The Mill Cafe, Methodist Church, Berry Lane, Mill End, WD3 7HJ). The Mill End foodbank is open on Tuesdays (14:00–16:00) and Fridays (10:00–12:00). Smaller distribution points include Croxley Green Baptist Church (Mon 13:00–15:00) and the Maple Cross distribution centre at The Pavilion, 87 Denham Way (Wed 12:30–13:30), helping people access assistance closer to home.
The foodbank operates a voucher referral system: everyone needs a valid voucher issued by a local agency (for example, Citizens Advice, local GPs, social workers or other frontline services) rather than simply walking in.
As part of the Trussell Trust network, the foodbank works with local partners to provide short‑term food aid and signpost people to longer‑term support. The 1,000‑person milestone — while distressing — underscores the continued role of the charity as a vital safety net for people facing low incomes, benefit delays or unexpected financial shocks.
