Trinity Catholic School in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, has launched a formal consultation to join a new organisation that would manage several local schools starting in September 2026. This move involves merging two existing school groups to form the St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

According to Our Lady of the Magnificat, the proposal would also bring five local primary schools into the new group. These include St Peter’s and St Anthony’s in Leamington Spa, St Mary Immaculate in Warwick, Our Lady’s in Princethorpe, and St Joseph’s in Whitnash.

Parents, staff, and neighbours have until 12:00 PM on 24 March 2026 to share their thoughts on the plan, which was officially published on 24 February 2026. This new larger trust will be led by CEO Sinead Smith and aims to provide more shared resources and financial stability for all the schools involved.

The school has recently worked to improve its performance, with Ofsted raising its rating from inadequate in early 2023 to a requires improvement grade in February 2024. If the merger is approved, the new management structure is expected to be fully in place by the start of the new school year in September 2026.
