The Assembly Hall Theatre in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, will host a number of touring West End productions and national touring shows between March and August 2026. The season is anchored by week-long runs of two major transfers, giving local residents the chance to see high-profile professional theatre in their own town rather than travelling into London.

The supernatural thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story will arrive first, running from 9 March 2026 to 14 March 2026. Written by Danny Robins, the play has enjoyed multiple West End seasons and a UK tour and is listed at the Assembly Hall for the dates above.

Later in the year the international hit musical SIX will return for performances from 18 August 2026 to 22 August 2026. Assembly Hall Theatre’s promotional copy describes the show as making “its royal return to Tunbridge Wells following a previous sold out run”; the musical retells the stories of Henry VIII’s wives through contemporary pop music.

Owned and operated by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, the 1,020-seat venue has emphasised longer residencies of established touring productions to increase footfall. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and the theatre say the runs are part of a wider cultural strategy to attract visitors and support the town’s hospitality and night-time economy over the spring and summer months.
