A new exhibition showcasing local art and historical items will open at The Amelia Scott cultural hub in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, on 13 February 2026. The free event will give people the chance to see pieces from the museum’s permanent collection of around 60,000 objects alongside work by contemporary local artists.

The show is presented by The Amelia Scott — the cultural hub managed in partnership between Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Kent County Council — and is intended to provide families and schools with a free, daytime cultural resource. It focuses on the history of the area and follows the ‘Commons’ installation, which looked at local landscapes and concluded in January 2026.

The Amelia Scott building first opened in April 2022 after a £21 million project to combine the town’s library, gallery and museum services. The exhibition runs until 7 June 2026 and is funded through the hub’s core operating budget, which is supported by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Kent County Council and investment from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The venue’s published opening times are Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. Visitors can find planning and access information on The Amelia Scott’s website and the Visit Tunbridge Wells venue profile.
