Residents looking for entertainment this summer can enjoy a variety of outdoor theatre and music performances held at Scotney Castle near Lamberhurst. The National Trust has announced a full season of events taking place throughout August 2026, offering families and music fans the chance to experience performances set within the grounds of the historic estate.

The outdoor theatre programme kicks off on 1 August with a performance of Peter Rabbit by Quantum Theatre. This will be followed by the Changeling Theatre production of Much Ado About Nothing on 8 August, and a return from Quantum Theatre on 22 August for a performance of Treasure Island. Ticket prices for Peter Rabbit and Treasure Island start from £13, while Much Ado About Nothing tickets start from £15 (children under 10 free).

Music fans can also attend evening concerts under the stars, with ticket prices starting at £22 per person and discounts available for groups of four or more. The lineup includes Shades of Simon, a tribute to Paul Simon, on 13 August, followed by a performance from the swing band The Jive Aces on 14 August. The concert series concludes on 16 August with a performance by the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Our Own Way.

Set within 780 acres of ancient parkland and Wealden woodland, Scotney Castle features a 14th-century moated Old Castle and a Victorian mansion house. As these events are expected to be popular, the venue has noted that pre-booking is essential for all attendees. Further information and booking details can be found on the National Trust events page.
