The Tunbridge Wells Fringe Festival has released its 2026 programme, announcing a significant expansion of children’s and family offerings across Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The festival runs from 30 May to 14 June 2026 and will add more daytime activities aimed at parents and carers during the school holiday period.
Organisers say the 2026 programme contains 40% more children’s and family-specific content compared with 2025, including the headline booking Baby Shark and Tails of the Seven Seas. The schedule also features interactive theatre and workshops at local venues and hubs such as Trinity Theatre, Assembly Hall Theatre and outdoor stages on The Pantiles.
Royal Tunbridge Wells Together (RTW Together), the town-centre Business Improvement District, expects the new family focus to boost daytime footfall and help local hospitality and retail businesses. Independent outlets cited by organisers as beneficiaries include Fine Grind and The Zero Waste Company.
The festival runs until 14 June 2026. Organisers say most daytime family shows are short — typically 45–60 minutes — to make it easier for families to eat or shop between performances. Early-bird family tickets are due to go on sale in mid-February, running through 31 March; organisers are encouraging residents to book early for the most popular acts.
